As a member of the Toronto Fukuoka Kenjinkai, you can apply to become a student at a Fukuoka post-secondary institution for one year. The prefecture will pay for many of your expenses, but in exchange you will have to take part in the activities the prefecture organization provides for you (with the other students from various Fukuoka Kenjinkais) and abide by their rules. Last year, Toronto’s first participant in the program went to Japan. She is keeping a blog (mostly in Japanese) so please take a look.
